Crew foreman

Job Summary
The Crew Foreman (C.F.) is the leader of each project that is assigned to them by the operations manager. They should have a positive attitude and address the crew in a positive manner. Their duties consist of discussing requirements with clients, assigning tasks, making sure work exceeds or meets customers & Master Paintings standards, inspecting surfaces to be painted, punching each project to ensure no more than three touch-ups found by the customer, supervising the painting process, ensuring the project is completed within the expected time frame and maintaining records. The C.F. is also responsible for teaching his crew members the "Master Painting Way".
Job Duties

Manage projects and painters in such a way that labor hours and material budgets are met.

Measured by tracking total labor hours & materials purchased for the project.

The primary purpose of the C.F. is to maintain a high customer satisfaction rating.

Measured by customer satisfaction surveys.

Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.

Measured by completing 100% of the project packet. Tracking sheets, checklists, daily check-ins, etc.

Also measured by management review to ensure all company policies and procedures are followed.

Journeyman Painter (Painter II)
Reports to Crew Foreman
Job Summary
Receives work orders from the Crew Foreman and carries them out to Master Paintings Standards. A Journeyman painter needs to understand all facets of painting. They need to understand how to mix, thin, and apply a variety of materials. They need to not be afraid to admit if they do not know something, but be able to research how to properly do so. You must be able to keep up with the industry and all new materials and procedures to Master Paintings' high standards. Researching new techniques and materials is a huge advantage.
Job Qualifications
Must have all knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:

Proficient with all forms of preparation: caulking, putty, masking, etc.

Proficient with a brush (cutting in) & roller.
-
Proficient with an airless sprayer.
-
Must have knowledge of materials, tools, and processes involved with basic painting techniques and knowledge of the different paint qualities.

Must be able to identify the relationship of material to be painted and the technique, mixture, and the number of coatings required for each surface.
-
Know the proper use and techniques (stroke types) required for each type of paint/coating being used on each surface type.
-
Must be able to work at heights and off ladders and scaffold SAFELY!
You must be able to cater to customer's concerns and maintain the highest level of Customer Satisfaction.

Job Duties

Must listen to and carry out orders from the Crew Foreman or Journeyman.

Must have a willingness to learn every day and adapt to new styles of painting.

Must be willing to take constructive criticism and use what you learn to constantly improve your skills.

Proficient using caulk, putty, spackle, and sanding materials.

Cater to customer concerns. Know how to appropriately address customers, where to direct them if you don't have an answer, and maintain the highest level of Customer Satisfaction.
Requirements

Ability to work and carry out projects within a stipulated time frame and/or deadline.

High School Diploma/GED preferred
-
1+ years of residential or commercial painting experience required.

Prefer that you have reliable transportation and a clean driving record.

Excellent Communication and Team-Building skills.
Salary: $12-$14/hour
Painter's Helper
Reports to Crew Foreman
Job Summary

Receives work orders from the Crew Foreman and carries them out to Master Paintings Standards.

Maintains a positive attitude and seeks to learn everyday while on the job.

Assists Journeyman Painter & Painter I in being more efficient.
Job Duties
-
Must listen to and carry out orders from the Crew Foreman or Painter.

Helps Painters manage their tools, lines, ladders & cleanliness
-
Helps prep all areas, including masking (with masking machine), caulking, sanding, puttying, etc.
-
Ensures dropcloths/plastic stay in place during the course of each project.
-
Cleans brushes as needed.
-
Ensures job site is cleaned up and organized at the end of each day.
-
